Marching Illini Drumline

Earning a spot as a member of the Illini Drumline for the University of Illinois, was a defining part of my time at UIUC. The audition process is highly competitive, requiring months of preparation and a high level of technical precision. 

As a cymbal player, I committed over 20 hours a week to rehearsals, game days, and representing the University during travel (including the 2024 Citrus Bowl in Orlando, 2025 Music City Bowl in Nashville, and 2026 Dublin St. Patrick's Day Parade). I balanced this with a full-time Urban Planning schedule and in turn improved my time management, focus during long days, and overall teamwork collaborating with 400+ members across the organization.
